It's an oldie but a goodie! Woodforde's Wherry has once again caught the attention of judges at GBBF's illustrious Champion Beer of Britain competition to become a finalist 20 years after it was first crowned Supreme Champion!
First brewed on 5th April 1981, Wherry is our flagship bitter which catapaulted to notoriety after winning Supreme Champion Beer of Britain back in 1996.
The recipe and the ingredients (which include delicious Maris Otter malted barley from Norfolk) remain the same today and as a result our supreme session bitter has once again joined the ranks of Finalist.
Visitors to the Great British Beer Festival can enjoy Wherry, which is on the pumps all week. As did one loyal customer who tweeted describing Wherry as 'class in a glass'! We couldn't agree more!
