The staff at Woodforde’s brewery had an excellent excuse to raise their glasses as it was revealed that sales volumes are up by 34% on last year, to almost four million pints a year, and turnover is up by 33% to £3.6m.
Woodforde’s has invested around £1.5 million in new brewery plant over the past four years to increase brewing capacity to meet sales growth – but the brewery remains totally committed to ensure that the award-winning recipes do not change.
Mike Betts said, ‘I think that much of the secret of our success is down to our fantastic team of 30 staff who are enthusiastic and totally committed to Woodforde's quality and taste. We’re also really in touch with our customers. There are more than 11,000 members of the ‘Woodforde’s Club’ – drinkers with a serious passion for Woodforde’s ales who aren’t afraid to tell us what they like.’
