WHERRY WINS AGAIN  -  August 2006

Following on from its great line of success we’re delighted to record another CAMRA award for Wherry, in this case a BRONZE for third place in the Bitter category as ‘Champion Bitter of Britain, Bronze’ at the Great British Beer Festival 2006, Earls Court, London.

WHERRY WINS GOLD   -   August 2005

Wherry, brewed by Woodforde’s of Woodbastwick, has been judged to be the CAMRA Champion Bitter of Britain by a panel of brewers, beer writers and journalists, at the Great British Beer Festival in London. The new Number One Bitter of Britain is described in the 2005 edition of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide as, “Refreshingly hoppy with a good balance of citrus and malt. Little long-term loss of flavour as this golden-hued brew holds its genuinely hoppy character.”

The Norfolk brewed beer also went on to take over-all third place from over fifty finalists in eight categories including beers from tiny micros to major regional brewers, as CAMRA Supreme Champion Beer of Britain, Bronze.
