 Each year the British Beer Mat Collectors Society gives an award to the brewery with the best beer mat design. This year the award has gone to Woodforde’s Norfolk Ales for their newly launched Wherry sail mat. Previous winners include big name breweries such as Adnams, Arkells and Thwaites.
Launched only a few weeks ago, Woodforde’s latest beer mat has been recognised nationally by being given an award by the British Beer Mat Collectors Society. The new mat is in the shape of a Norfolk icon – the Wherry sail and incorporates tasting notes for Woodforde’s 3 flagship ales – Wherry, Nelson’s Revenge and Sundew.
Mike Betts of Woodforde’s said “We are thrilled with this award as this is the first time we have been recognised for something other than our ales”. Woodforde’s have won many national and international awards including the most prestigious Champion Beer of Britain.
